HRLA hosts ‘UK Sanctions in 2024: A Help or Hindrance to Human Rights?’

The Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) were pleased to host ‘UK Sanctions in 2024: Help or Hindrance to Human Rights?’, which took place at Doughty Street Chambers and online on 5 November 2024 at 17:30.

Chaired by Peter Caldwell, Barrister and Head of the Sanctions Team at Doughty Street International, speakers included Nicholas Waddell, Deputy Director of the Sanctions Directorate at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office; Maia Cohen-Lask, Partner at Corker Binning; and Natalia Kubesch, Legal Officer at REDRESS.

The event was followed by drinks and refreshments courtesy of our generous hosts, Doughty Street Chambers.
