The HRLA Bursary Scheme Explained

The Human Rights Lawyers Association provides fully-funded human rights placements to talented individuals. If you have a passion for human rights law and would not otherwise be able to afford to undertake an internship, then we want to hear from you.

Last year we partnered with JUSTICE, the leading human rights charity, and 5 Essex Chambers, a top barristers’ Chambers specialising in human rights and public law.

If you would like to hear about our next round of bursary applications, please become a member – this will enable you to access our mailing list.

Here are last year’s application form and award policy (which explains the nature of the scheme and the assessment criteria we apply to ensure fair recruitment):

Sponsoring the Scheme
The HRLA is always looking to partner with new sponsors of our bursary scheme. Sponsoring the scheme offers a number of benefits, which include marketing opportunities to our 2,000 strong membership of judges, barristers and solicitors.

With thanks to this year’s bursary sponsors, Hewetson & Co and Westgate Wealth Management.
